Doncaster Storytelling Festival 2024
National Literacy Trust's Doncaster Storytelling Festival is back for the fourth year, with a brand-new theme on The Power of Pictures!
Originally launched in 2021, the festival brings together Doncaster's cultural partners for a month-long celebration of children's literature, and the stories it inspires. This year National Literacy Trust are once again sponsored by Unite, to help us create a wonderland of stories, exclusive author events and workshops to inspire Doncaster children to discover the Power of Pictures - plus One Call Insurance is sponsoring us to bring the Bradford Stories Bus back on tour, taking stories, poems and illustrations to schools across Doncaster, inspiring pupils to fall in love with reading and build on their wider literacy skills.
Don’t forget to register your interest for our flagship schools event on 25th June, at The Dome Theatre, where we’ll be hosting sessions from a range of different authors, poets and artists, along with revealing the winner(s) of the first-ever Doncaster Illustrator and Author Prize!
